Len has been an active Fellow of the New York Chapter of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for many years. Membership in the AAML is an honor, and Leonard has served in many capacities in the leadership of the New York Chapter. To become a fellow, a Matrimonial lawyer must pass a specialized exam, have substantial trial experience and recommendations from judiciary and leading members of the legal community.  Len is currently a member of the Chapter’s Board of Managers, a capacity in which he has served for many years.

As a legal scholar, Len has been a frequent speaker on divorce matters before many organizations, including the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the New York State Bar Association and others.  He has been a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Section, the Dutchess County Bar Association and the Executive Committee of the Hudson Valley Collaborative Divorce and Dispute Resolution Association, Ltd. He has been designated a “Super Lawyer” for many years.  With extensive experience in complex matrimonial matters including collaborative law, Len joined our firm in 2019; while he is not presently taking new cases, he is available to our lawyers as a consultant, and his input is extremely valued.
