
Sherry Bishko earned her BA from Colgate University and her MA from Tufts University. She served as a Policy Analyst for the United States Environmental Protection Agency for six years. Sherry decided to enter law school thereafter and earned her JD from Pace University School of Law. She joined the White Plains law firm of Rosenthal & Markowitz, LLP in 2006, where she became a partner in 2016. In 2025, Sherry joined Lazar Schwartz & Jones and is working to expand their practice into Orange County where she resides. With more than 20 years of experience in the field of family and matrimonial law, Sherry brings a diverse range of experiences to this role, enhancing the depth of support to her clients.

Sherry has represented clients in all areas of family and matrimonial law, estate planning, and residential real estate transactions including high-net worth divorces, legal separations, child/spousal support, custody, and post-judgment matters. She also handles second parent adoptions. She has served as an advocate on behalf of clients in the Family and Supreme Courts throughout Westchester, Orange, and Rockland Counties, drafting complex legal documents, including Separation Agreements, Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements, and Custody/Visitation Stipulations. Sherry has long been an advocate for the use of collaborative law and mediation as an effective alternative to litigation in many cases.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Sherry continues to be an active leader and participant in professional associations and organizations throughout the Hudson Valley including the Westchester Women’s Bar Association where she served as President from 2024-2025; the Orange County Bar Association and the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. She believes in the power of mentorship and co-founded the WWBA’s Mentorship Program where she continues to serve as a mentor for law students and newly admitted attorneys.
Sherry is passionate about her community in particular, the history, residents and natural beauty of Tuxedo Park. She is a golfer and a yoga devotee.
